Objective

Founded in Frederick, MD in 2003, Zavos Architecture + Design, LLC (ZA+D, LLC) is a full-service architectural firm. They apply their expertise primarily to agency-intensive and community-oriented projects, ranging from historic building renovations to new construction. It was important to capture Zavos’ distinctly modern flare in the look and feel of their new website. Celerate’s goal was to generate the impression of professional architecture the moment visitors arrived at the homepage.

Solution

Working with a gray-scale color palette that featured only a few color highlights, Celerate developed Zavos’ new website to harmonize a modern, minimalist framework with a variety of architectural images. The result showcases the firm’s portfolio while also reinforcing an architectural theme. Stacked, staggered blocks of content and imagery are arranged to simulate modern architecture, with a subtle dashed grid peppered in to mimic blueprints and planning. The overall result is easy to navigate, straightforward in presentation, and effective at visually communicating the firm’s primary services and expertise.
